CyberSMART
Project and Resources
The CyberSMART program is an ONR-Credentialed STEM initiative focused on cybersecurity in a world dominated by networks and connected devices for students in grades 6–12. This curriculum empowers students to understand the critical importance of cybersecurity in today’s technologically advanced society. They will explore how the devices we trust can create vulnerabilities to cyber threats that impact all aspects of our lives, including risks such as malware, phishing attempts, hacking, and identity theft.
To enhance the learning experience, the CyberSMART curriculum is complemented by hands-on kits that provide students with practical tools and resources. These kits enable students to innovate using the Internet of Things (IoT), fostering the development of safer technologies and contributing to building a more secure infrastructure system in the United States. By integrating these instructional materials, students gain real-world problem-solving skills while preparing for future careers in cybersecurity and technology.
